When did you start riding?
I think when I was about 5 years old
When did you join AGDRC?
I joined when I started riding Prinz as his owner has been involved with the club since her children were younger
What horse(s) do you currently own or ride?
Prinz, a very handsome grey 16.2hh warmblood
What equestrian activities do you do?
A bit of everything via the club clinics - Show Jumping, Cross Country and the odd dalliance with Dressage. Prinz was an Eventer in his younger days but slowed down after a suspensory injury. He absolutely loves to jump so we have a play over smaller courses - just don't tell him it's not serious competition!
Do you have a horsey goal or aspiration?
Galloping Prinz along the beach and getting around a Show Jumping course in perfect style
What are you most excited about with regards to being a member of the club?
Great people to learn from and ride with
What riders influence you?
I've always loved Mary King and The Whitakers, I'm now a fan of Ros Canter, I love her honesty
Do you have any "pre-game" rituals?
I used to. When I was younger I had to wash my hands and dry with a particular towel, always use the same saddle pad, warm up in my coat - gosh, that's actually quite a long list! Now? I'm lucky if I manage to get tacked up and the correct gear on!!
What do you consider to be your equestrian career highlight?
Prolific winner of the gymkhana games, particularly slalom. And, of course, coming 2nd in the Show Jumping Pairs at Aston Le Walls for Aspley Guise with our very own Sarah Legg!
Anything else we should know about you/your horse(s)?
We have the same outlook on life - growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional
