Well I definitely think some one was smiling down on the Aspley Guise Summer Dressage Team at Alconbury on Sunday, what a great day we had!
If I were to picture my perfect day of Dressage, Sunday would have been it!! A fantastic atmosphere, beautiful sunshine, gorgeous horses and the most wonderful team spirit amongst our riders and supporters.
I must extend a huge thank you to everyone who participated in Sunday’s dressage, each and every one of you did myself as Team Manager, your Club and most of all yourselves proud.
I was overwhelmed with the Team spirit shown on the day, it was exactly what I was aiming for when I took on the role of organising teams for this event. Not only did you all come and ride your test, but also supported each other and helped me to perform my role as Team Manager.
Across the board we had some great results, details of which will follow as soon as they are released by the organisers.
Special thanks to competing member Katy Briggs, who gave up her time between her classes to fill our stewarding helper slot. We literally could not compete at these events without people giving up their time, so thank you Katy.
I must also extend a big Thank You to Houghton and Huntingdon Riding Club for doing such a super job of organising this event.
Thank you also to my fellow committee members for their support behind the scenes.
