Area 7 FOTH Qualifier

October 13, 2018

This year AGDRC entered our first ever Festival of the Horse team into the Eventer Challenge held at Keysoe on 6th October. We are really proud of our team members who braved miserable wet and slippery conditions and all rode amazingly well.

In the 80cm team Team members were:

Kate Bouchier & Dexter's Calico Joe

Hattie Hughes & Hare Park Parsnip

Nikki O'Neill & Tia

Tina Karris & CVS Dixie Chick

Helen Nicholls & Angelo of Dalwhinnie (reserve)

In the 100cm class we had Sally-Anne Hicks & Vent De Bise De Mahy-Faux riding as an individual, to gain a fantastic 4th place.

An early morning start also saw Kate, friend Gemma and Team Manager Sarah Legg directing traffic as car park stewards, and a soggy morning and afternoon saw Nikki, Tina's hero husband and Sally-Anne's mum, pole picking in the show jumping ring. Thank you to all that helped - without you our team wouldn't be able to compete. (For those that don't know, we have to provide a certain number of helpers at each event we compete at based on how many teams or individuals we enter. So please come forward and volunteer for the next one!)

A massive well done to all who went out and took part. The day may have been cold, wet, and miserable but that didn't stop everyone from having a lot of fun out on course and throughout the day!
