You may have seen her out and about at one of our events, but did you know that, Aspley Guise & District Riding Club member, Ann Ackerman is one of Santa's Helpers?
For the past couple of years she has held charity Christmas Raffles for the yard she liveries at, sourcing prizes from the local community.
This year her chosen charity is Gaddesden Place RDA Centre (Riding for the Disabled Association). All proceeds from her Christmas Raffle will be donated here, a charity which relies on donations to keep it up and running.
Tickets cost £2 each or £5 per strip, and were sold to family and friends with an assortment of prizes on offer, including:
A Chiltern Vale Animal Physio voucher for a horse or dog treatment A tin of home baked chocolate brownies Two bottles of prosecco A bunch of flowers A box of Hotel Chocolat A bottle of single malt whiskey
This year Ann also auctioned off a year's membership for Aspley Guise and District Riding Club.
There really was a great selection of prizes on offer and lots of people took part, with Ann raising a total of £300!
A huge well done to Ann for organising this, what a fantastic Christmas present for Gaddesden Place RDA Centre!
