When did you start riding?

I started riding as a toddler

When did you join AGDRC?

I joined in 2018. My daughter has now gone to university so I have my horse back as she competed him at pony club - so my turn now!

What horse(s) do you currently own or ride?

One 16hh coloured horse - Dexter's Calico Joe (or, Joe to his friends!)

What equestrian activities do you do?

I event, so do all Riding Club activities as well as hacking and fun rides

Do you have a horsey goal or aspiration?

My main goal is to enjoy my horse for as long as he still enjoys doing things, as he will be 18 this year!

What are you most excited about with regards to being a member of the club?

I'm really enjoying getting out and competing again, having been the groom for my daughter. It's also a really friendly club and everyone is very supportive!

What do you consider to be your equestrian career highlight?

When I was younger I was Eventing in Juniors and Young Riders and was on the Scottish Young Rider Team. I managed to get to advanced level but did not compete much at it as my horse injured himself. I then took a break from riding for about 20 years(!) and recently did my first competition in 27 years(!!), Show Jumping at Rockingham International Horse Trials, then later on did my first Cross Country round for 27 years at Keysoe (both for Aspley Guise!)
